Pickups replacement for B.C. Rich Mockingbird

I have myself a neck-thru 24 5/8" scale MIK B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST w/ honeyburst finish (mahogany w/ ebony fretboard) with Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz pups in it, but I'm looking for a bit more output. Would you guys recommend the Nazgül/Sentient pickups?

Thanks,
Dan

You can probably get away with a little more output from the neck pickup without it getting muddy as the 24 fret brings the neck pickup back about 1 inch compared to a les paul

How about a Demon in the neck with an Alternative 8 in the bridge?

What about the Black Winter set?

Hmmmm, the Demon/Alternative 8 combo sounds interesting though.

I think it would be fantastic in a 'bird. It would turn heads.

I have a Fralin Metal SHO set in mine. Tons of output without sacrificing clarity and definition, the articulation is fantastic. They sound like Fralins but more. Here is a review I wrote on them.

No offense but the audio on the video at the end of that tmrzoom.com link is clipping horribly and sounds like fuzzy garbage.

I play with a fuzzy buzzy tone. That is what I go for and like. Garbage is a bit strong, why dont you post a clip of your boring watered down generic tone and let us pick it apart.

And I was beginning to think that I was the only one.

Meh! My tone works for my band, that is why we don't sound like every other metal band out there. Love it or hate it, I don't care. The thing is if the guy asked me to post a clip with a traditional Marshall setting or even some scooped 80's pablum I would have done it. I have done it for people in the past. When you come at me with "garbage" that is a bit strong. Too bad Garbage is taken I would have loved to use it as a band name.

Re: Pickups replacement for B.C. Rich Mockingbird

I apologize you are truly a master of technique and tone. I will take notes and adjust my tone accordingly. After hearing that clip I can now see why you have the authority to cruise the internet insulting other guitarists.

I dunno if this is heavy sarcasm or what, either way I genuinely really thought you just had audio clipping issues and not a buzzy tone. Distortion due to audio clipping because the signal is too hot doesn't sound good.

Dude, I genuinely like your tone. I count as my influences the likes of Young, Mustaine, Schaffer, Cavazos among many others. I like the tone that sounds like the cab is a second away from coming apart, yet still tight.
Rock on!

I'd like to see more pics of that Mockingbird. It looks pretty sweet. I didn't mean to offend anyone in this here thread. I guess I get the lo-fi buzzy tone now ;). To each their own.
