69 tele thinline reissue and the pickups it came with i think could be a little better

any prefferences people?

I routed out my MIJ 69 Thinline for a Pearly Gates in the neck. I paired it with a STL-2 Hot Lead tapped.

Better is subjective. What do you want from your Tele that you don't have now and that you think different pickups would give you?

Is yours an MIM '69 Telecaster® Thinline, or is it a CIJ? Is everything on it now the same as it came from the factory?

I have one of the MIMs. I've changed a couple of parts on mine, and had a Duncan STL-1 Vintage '54 in the bridge for a while. I've tried a few similar Tele pickups even tried adding steel baseplates to the bridge pickups like the one that came in this Thinline. Right now I have the stock pickups in mine but with that baseplate added to the bridge.

ok here is what i was thinkin tell me how u think this will work out.

str-1 vintage in the neck
and
little 59s in the bridge

I have a Stewmac thinline. Got a Pearly Gates in the neck and a 54' in the bridge.
