That one is brushed diamond. It's pretty cool.

I actually wanted a brushed piece of flat aluminum (no diamonds) as the guitar was meant to look stark and industrial, but they sent me the wrong one by accident and I didn't feel like sending it back.

looks cool anyway, but it would have been better without diamonds. i'm thinking the polished or the flat would be best. the diamonds are probably a bit much. the flat looks cool. or the cross abrasive. the flat looks cooler :smack:

i would think that the body plating would screw up your tone badly. wouldn't it? and it costs way too much for me to care :).
how do you think the flat would look?

Re: Pimp.

I think that guitar would look better with the flat. The diamond's a bit over the top IMO.

exactly, this peep knows what he's talking about.

Re: Pimp.

Sweet! That's a very straightforward yet flexible rig. Just about perfect for anything you want to do, and it looks so cool!

Re: Pimp.

I'd say just point both amps towards one mic, and record it as one track. That way we get the full effect of this great rig!

It'd need two channels panned left and right, otherwise you wouldn't get the separation that's going on between the two.

Re: Pimp.

I thought you were going for one big sound. Sorry about that. Whatever you do, I don't care HOW you do it, just get us some clips!!!! :D

Well....it does make for one big sound. The thing I love about this setup is it's ability to produce high gain buzz and crunchy, well defined attack and distinct notes.....I don't think that would translate well in mono.

Clips? It'll be atleast a month.....the movers are packing my house up on Tuesday and I probably won't have internet again until mid to late July.

Plus, I'll need to find/borrow recording equipment.

Dude, you have excellent taste! I love your rig.

... and are those ... hockey pucks propping the amps up? That is so Canadian! :)

Did you buy an Orange yet, or is that still the borrowed one?

I now own it.

I tape two together and toss them underneath. It's cheap, and I can toss them in the back of the combo when I pack it up.

Here's another shot but never posted;

And the signal path;

I've been experimenting with some overdrives today and they really sound good. I'm not a fan of boosting Mesas as I feel the sound best on their own, but the Orange takes OD/Dirt/Fuzz pedals like a champ, and combined they still continue to compliment each other.
