Played a Genz Benz El Diablo today

Didn't like it. I would rather have my AVT 50 than the El Diablo.

The warm channel is very good, but that's not what I play on 95% of the time.

The hot channel is pretty flubby, even with the compressed and attack buttons in. The gain is pretty fuzzy and cold sounding.

I was always curious about those, but figured they were a sheep in wolf's clothing. LOL
I look at the output transformer first. If it's not a giant iron block, steer clear.
I've heard similar things about the Framus amps. Bogner looks. Carvin tone.

The trannys (heh heh) looked pretty good sized to me, but maybe the blue light was messing with my vision.
