Hey Guys,
I thought I'd never sell this one but the time has come. I bought this guitar new in 1998 and it was my first PRS guitar. I gigged the guitar heavily until 2002 and it's basically sat ever since. It was used on the road extensively and shows some wear but its still a great guitar that will serve someone well if you can live with a few dings and scratches. Here goes....
1998 PRS McCarty in Emerald green with moons, Eastern Maple Top, Black back and sides with natural maple binding. I recently replaced all the hardware so it would look as new as possible....this includes New PRS stoptail and studs, New PRS tuners, Duncan Zebra Custom Bridge and Jazz neck set (these are currently wired without the coil tap because I dont use it but they can be hooked up with the split coil option if you like it that way). RS Guitarworks premium electronics upgrade kit. There has also been a bone nut installed and frets have been dressed once. There is hardly any wear on the frets at all. It has sat for the last few years so might need a basic setup of intonation/truss rod but plays fine as is. About the condition.....The guitar has been gigged heavily and it shows some wear but is still in good condition. The neck is straight without any damage. There have never been any cracks or breaks. There are some minor dings/dents in the body that I have pics of. It also has some light clear coat scratches and pic marks/dings but all are minor, also has some scratches on the clear coat of the headstock from string changes. This all probably sounds bad but the guitar is in good shape just want to be honest about the condition. The condition is reflected in the price and I can answer any questions you may have or send any pics you may want. Also, anyone in the DFW Texas area is welcome to come see and play the guitar in person. This will make somebody a great gigging guitar that has already been broken in! Feel free to contact me with any questions or for pics. Price is $1200.00 shipped.
Thanks,
Wally
