Please identify these Strat pickups

Hi, new member here. I'm hoping that somebody can help me to identify these Strat pickups that were in a Tokai I recently bought. They are stamped VTP then a series of numbers. I know they're not Tokais, & I don't recognise them as Fenders or Seymour Duncans either. They read from 6.15k to 6.35k.

Thanks

Re: Please identify these Strat pickups

welcome to the forum!!

well they look like alnico magnet strat pups, other than that i cant really tell ya much. the dc resistance suggest that they are made with #42 wire which is right for a vintage type strat pup. if they sound good then id keep using them.

as far as what brand, i havent the slightest clue

Re: Please identify these Strat pickups

I'd say those were manufacturing marks more than actual branding/model designation. VTP could be the name of the factory they were made in (like People's Electronic Component Factory #12), and the number being the date code and type (S on the end means Single, or Strat, or Standard if none are RWRP).

Or it might mean Vintage Tone Pickup.

Either way, without a maker's mark on it, there's no way to identify it for sure. Maybe that red/white candystripe wire is specific to one manufacturer? You could Google it.
