Please suggest a bridge humbucker to balance out an eastern poplar V guitar

Hi i have a V shaped guitar made with an Eastern Poplar body with rosewood fingerboard. what are the tonal qualities of this wood and what would be a nice pickup to balance the tone? i am after a high output pickup. this guitar is going to be my all out metal guitar!!!!! its gotta be good for heavy rhythm and scorching leads

Play an older MIM Fender and you'll hear what poplar is.

As far as the pickups, I think it doesn't get much more metal than a Duncan Distortion set.
