Then I saw this second hand, for £6 more than what I payed for the POD
And that screwed up the whole getting a refund thing :laugh2:
Lovely guitar, sounds fat and warm, perfect for bluesey stuff. Clean it's amazing too. Nice and thick, without being too compressed like a humbucker. This this is all mahogany, with a bolt on 24 fret neck. It is quite dark sounding, but not muddy in anyway, IMO. Stock with Duncan SP90s, but I'm not sure which model as there seems to be a few. They seem loud enough, and the guitar more than holds it's own even for a hard/heavy rock kinda tone too. I can't believe I haven't been into P90s up until recently... they're so good!
I A/B'd it against the PRS SE soapbar (single cut version) and for me there was no comparison. The neck suited me more on the Godin (and wasn't painted like on the PRS) and the tones were beefier and warmer IMO.
The gig bag it came with could withstand a nuclear blast too!
Sorry for the lack of guitar + me posing pictures this time, I dunno where the camera has gone...
Well, all in all this has been an amazing last 7 days for guitars. I doubt I'll ever get two new guitars in the space of a week again unless I rob a bank. Ahh, all that 18th money got put to good use..
I'm having issues with recording atm, and I snapped a string on my strat.. hopefully I'll have a track up with both guitars on in the new year in a different style to what I usually post
