Porcupine Tree Tone on "Deadwing"

Does anyone know what Steve Wilson used to get the tone on the solo at 7:30 in "Deadwing"? It sounds like a really saturated fuzz, but I'm not great at ID'ing gear from records. Combined with his use of the trem, it almost sounds like a synth. I know he uses PRS's and Hot Cats live, maybe in the studio too.

the only thing i can say that may help, and may not, is that i know he uses PODxt stuff...i dont know as far as pedals but i know he uses PODxt's....

I'd say that's his Badcat and OD, cranked up, and eq'd well.

Thanks guys. I would have a better idea if I'd ever played on a Bad Cat, but I have not. It's definitely not my favorite tone on the album, but it's more unique than most of the other stuff.
And, anewdefguitarist - I have seen pix of him in the studio with the POD stuff, so that's a possibility too.

Jeff, do you have any idea on what the OD is?
