We don't understand this stuff at all, and my electrician was able to put in an Alnico in the mid-position, only since both pups are single coil and the wiring was identical.
For the neck, I have the Lil '59 from Duncan and I think the many-optioned wiring diagram it comes with is ridiculous. If it is possible to wire the pup where a single coil had been, great, but I have no understanding nor any interest in jargon such as "split" -- I simply want a single set of instructions and no options, on where to solder the wires to make the neck pup work. Can anybody answer, or advise me who to chat up? It thus would be neck hummer, single coil in mid, and hummer at bridge.
Fender has a new Strat this year that somehow is pre-wired to accomodate this sort of thing -- that makes me wonder if this is possible at all, and if it is, exactly what one is supposed to do. (If not, I got a Lil '59 to sell real cheap!)
