hello-
I'm happy with my Rio Grande BBQ in the bridge of my Strat, no tone pot connected. And a 500k volume pot. I love that . But,
My 2 singles are still connected to 250k tone pots.
I don't know if this is parallel or series but its a stock MIM "Vintage Player's Strat" from 2003 wiring.
My question is, is the 500k volume and no-tone bridge affecting my position 2 ? My position 2 sounds horribly dull and muffled.
Although my pos. 4 sounds just as bad. The common element - the 500k volume pot.
Could a Strat actually =need= 500k's all around, even with the single coils, depending on the guitar?
**I must tell you that my live amp is always set for optimum tone with the humbucker only. This I will not change. So this may be affecting my situation.
I can get the wondrous position 2 and 4 sounds at home through my clean channel of course.
Thanks
