Well it's going to be wired the standard way for the 5 way switch, but instead of volume/tone/tone it will be master tone/neck's volume/bridge volume. Right now there are 3 250k pots with a .022 cap. I was thinking of upgrading the master tone to a 500K pot but not change the cap and switch the bridge's master volume pot for a 500K with push pull (for a split). What value would be best for the tone control you think? It'll control all 3 pickups.
Also, on a standard Strat wiring diagram there should a wire from the 1st lug of a tone pot to the 2nd of the other. This isn't present on my pickguard, but the cap goes into one of the lugs before grounding into the last tone control, without being soldered to it (though there is soldering on the lug, so it may have snapped out)
Here is a pic (impossible to make them less blurry, especially with my photographic skills :laugh2: ):
I also don't know why there's a wire between the 2 groundings on the 2 tone pots.
Anyhoo any help is welcome
I'm a wiring n00b for now.
On a side note, I just bought a soldering iron today!
And I forgot tin!
