Potential new LP - thoughts?

DankStar

Her Little Mojo Minion
$1500 for a 2014 traditional, non-weight relief, 50s big neck

my issues:
- action currently so low it’s buzzing a hair and I’d have to raise it a tad
- trapezoid at 5th fret raised a bit off fretboard (doesn’t affect playability)
- pull off licks on high E getting caught on the nib/fret joint (I’d have to get that sorted out it bugs me)
- some light fret wear around cowboy chords, nothing too major
- some limited access to very high frets (not a deal breaker)

When you pick up the guitar and play it, it should feel like the first pair of boobies you ever touched. You should be wowed and excited and barely able to control your excitement. If that's the case, then you can usually work around most issues with it. If it doesn't feel this way, then you shouldn't buy it.

All those things are easily handled. A fret level/crown/polish. Raise the action a tad, no big deal. The inlay can be sanded down level or if it is popping out of the fretboard, reglued in to place. That's stuff I'd do in an afternoon. Binding nibs don't bother me. Sounds like this one has been played and loved. That's a good price.

Yes , yes, yes from this knuckle dragger.

Provided you like the 50s neck.

I'd Swap the tuners out for some gotohs and shove a TB-6 in there...... It will be glorious!

The nibs in the plastic of the fretboard binding might make fixing the hooking fret a bit more of an issue.

As for the raised inlay, that just proves that it is a real Gibson and not some knockoff :)
