I love mine with 500k pots. I have never tried 250k.

I loved mine with 280k superpots! Tamed especially the bridge to perfection. I had it wired as a coil split too. Mine were in a epi goth explorer with 1 vol 1 tone and a threeway. Sold the guitar, but kept the pickups. Haven't installed them in something new. Yet.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but I'd go with 500k. If the pickups sound too bright (they should be great), then you can go down from there.
