Hi, I know I haven't been on in a while, but I needed space on my tablet. Any way:
A) has anyone changed pots on the modular preamp, I'm aware this will void the warranty I'm hoping to swap it to run some test, I want to see if the blackouts preamp will run with 100ks, it's a volt changer on active circuitry anyway, it should only effect the roll.
B) Can anyone identify and PM me a list of components on popular preamps? Specifically EMG, SD Blackouts, SD livewires, Fluence, etc. Doesn't mater which. *I'm NOT looking to make a copy, but rather want to make it my own, WITH MY IDEAL TONE* I'm hoping to make a multi voiced preamp to attach to market available and home wound pickups. But I want my own voicings on it, and be able to make repeats of NY voicings without ordering it again.
C) a clean transistor or relay differential preamp schematics, so I cab run lace pickups through this, or at least a mod to shift the tone balance in the blackouts modular (I'll be switching pots anyway, the warranty will be void) in favor of the passives running through it, instead of 70% blackouts more of a 50/50 tonal split.
I'm willing to do the rest if I gave a basic starting point diagram is at least.
*I do not plan on an exact final or architectural copy of the electronics by any means, just learning the principles of how it works, to make my own different electronic architecture later.
