Prefered Amp Speakers

What speakers do you use/prefer?

Vintage 30's are always highly regarded, but they seemed kind of too smooth and middy by the sound clips on Celestion's website. I know tons of modern rock and metal bands use them, it just didn't seem right from the sound clips-- too round with not enough edge and definition. Are those clips good representations of the Vintage 30's sound? Anyone use the Classic Leads, G12H, or the G12 Century?

Any input would be appreciated.

I like Greenbacks. The V30's have an edge to them I don't care for. Suffer from some cone cry in my experience.

Cone cry...There's a term I've not heard in awhile....LOL Some of this "cone cry" comes from weak filter caps that need replacement....Another term you left out is "Ghost Notes" caused by bad filtering of the power supply. :wink:

The reissue Greenback 25s I don't care for,plus they are weak in the lows to my ears...Almost mushy...

I am well aware of these things. The amps are well maintined to say the least. Could you be any more patronizing?
