Hi, today i received my seymour duncan blackout ahb-1 but the box was all scratched, cracked and pretty messed up ( the pups look ok, the plastic was still on them ) and I commended them new. Should I resend them because im building a guitar in a couples of months and I want it to be perfect

Thx

Re: pretty messed up blackout box

Where did you buy them from? There is no way they are going to leave the SD factory in that shape.
Assuming you are sure about them being new, I don't think you need re-send them unless they are not working.
Welcome to the forum by the way.

So wait, the acrylic/plastic box they come in was cracked, but the pickups were not? And you're contemplating sending them back?

How does the product packaging affect whether or not the guitar in question "looks perfect"?

Re: pretty messed up blackout box

I meant to say that i want my guitar to sound perfect, and since the pickup are maybe used ( Im saying they are maybe used because the box is fkg messed up), maybe they have a little problem with it

Clearly you got 2 choices if you have no chance of trying them right away.

1) Consider they still have the stickers on them, assume that they are new and only package is damaged during shipping, USE THEM!

2) Call MF and have them exchange it. (for your sake of mind)

What is to ask?

Re: pretty messed up blackout box

We'd cover you under warranty if there is something wrong with the pickups, so right now you can just assume that the box was blasted during shipping, and that the pickups and components are fine.
