Yikes... you can get a decent used tube half stack for that price!
To be fair, some dealers put a pretty steep price on things and then discount. I have a local store that basically puts the MF list price on their stuff, and then when they sell them they generally discount it to about MF prices (at least they do for me). Whereas the other store (which is right next to them), just puts the discounted price on there to start with, but doesn't deal lower than that.
At any rate, I wouldn't pay that (or even half of that) for an MG series amp.

It's sad really. The halfstack been also sitting there for years. Everything here is so steep. 14$ for a pack of Ernie Balls haha

where the hell is this store...g.c. has the whole half stack for less than 7 hundred..and to be honest....i had an mg half stack ..in purple tolex...that was the cooest thing about it.....i hated that amp........that cab price is stupid...and so is the head price...a full stack with 2 cabs is 839.00 at gc..on their web site right now.

are those canadian dollars?...because those numbers are u.s.manufacturer suggested RETAIL prices......which no body in their right mind pays.

yes...i was just sayin.......i thought things were more expensive in canada,than in the states.....i have no idea where this shop is......but they are stupid on those numbers.

Well, that's the sad reality up here in Canada guys (with of course some exceptions).
Not as many dealers as you guys have in most cities and no huge competitor like guitar center. The mom and pop shops are "generally" not great on bargains and have exceptionnaly high prices. Our dollar's worth more than yours and we still get shafted by most of them due to "exchange currency rates" and custom fees.
Gas is so expensive right now for us due to the weakness of the american dollar (our's not worth more, sadly yours is worth less) so now's the time to buy online and get stuff to cross the border... Shops complain but they have to adjust to the current situation if they want to survive.

The store up here doesn't even charge those prices. And they usually tack on the cost of shipping to the item.
