Pro Co Rat 2 (for high gain stuff) vs Maxon AD9 Sonic distortion

I just heard the clip on Musiciansfriend and WOW... With my Seymour Duncan full shred I think I'll love the tone through the AOR (which unfortunately I have yet to get But wednesday I should have it)
I was thinking of also using that pedal as another channel. I could get a cheap boost (I'll build a microamp) and also use the ProCo Rat 2... Damn it seems really sweet. Has anyone got experience with it? Who can tell me more about it?
And how about the Maxon pedal? It looks like a tube screamer but has some nice high gain tones in there it seems.
I may not buy them for a while, but I'm curious about these two.

It's the same as the old Ibanez SD-9 Sonic Distortion. It starts where a Tube Screamer leaves off and gets way hairier and snottier.

Evan, I don't know the Ibanez so... but you make it seem like a good thing. I guess it can complete any pedal board and I really like its tone, that's one to add for the future for sure!
