ok, so I just got this empty avatar 4x12 cab and I'm ready to load it with four 16 ohm speakers I've got.


I'm following this wiring diagram from avatar's site:

Is the "jack socket" the top input of the cab and the "ring" the bottom input?

another quick question....if I wired the four 16ohm speakers in series...what would the resulting impendence be? 64ohms? (I'm not sure how this all works)

Series you add the resistance, so yes 64 ohms.

In that diagram, you'd have a 16 ohm cab.

what would happen if I plugged a 16ohm amp into a 64ohm cab? (I'm assuming that would be really bad??)
