Probably trading away my TSL 1/2 stack

Well I never use this amp anymore, it's been a couple years since I've gigged it. The head is a TSL 60 with real SED winged C's in it. The cabinet is really sweet, an early 80's 1960 B cab with 4 original g12m-65 speakers. This is a pretty good sounding rig, great tones with the crunch channel cranked up. Other than that the clean channel is just ok and the lead channel isn't my bag at all. But it really doesn't work for me anymore so I think I am going to trade it for a 65 reissue twin. The cab has seen some action so isn't going to win any beauty pageants, but the tone is really warm. The guy mentioned he has a nice custom road case for the twin, so I may trade my DR Z attenuator for the case too. I only use the attenuator with the Marshall. We'll see what plays out.

I always get nervous trading gear. "What if I want it back??" Ha. But I'm not a Marshall fan myself. I always like the way that sound when other people play them. I think it's a response thing more than a tone thing. I have a hard time getting the Marshall to work with my playing style. Anyway. Hope the trade goes well.

A Marshall and a Twin are almost polar opposites performance wise. Are you planning to hit the Twin with an o/d pedal or two for crunch/lead sounds ?

I will be the first to admit that I am not up on all the latest pricing for used gear, but:
1. I would be tempted to sell your gear, and then use that money to buy something else. If you are happy with the trade though, I guess it is all fine.
2. If a Fender Twin is your bag, I Would Not buy, or trade for an RI. Silver and even Black Face Twins can be had for very reasonable prices.
3. Just take a peek and see what cabs like yours are selling for. Is it really beat.? Those are pretty desirable speakers, and can fetch a fair amount of money. Of course all that takes more time and effort.
good luck

Hey guys, I got the twin, it's in perfect shape. I traded even but I also got a road case for the twin in the deal. Yeah the cab was pretty ragged. Sounded great though. I have a 68 Super and I wanted something I didn't have to worry about. The road case is awesome and makes it easy to carry with 2 people. Oh yeah I use a clean amp and pedals. I haven't played this Marshall in a while so it wasn't getting any love.
