Problem changing the bridge pickup

I'm about to put a duncan distortion 7 in my jackson js22 7 but i found that the way of the wiring inside the guitar are very different of what shows the wiring diagram of the pickup

here is a picture, you can see that both bridge and neck are soldered together and the red and white wires are going to the switch BUT in the seymour duncan diagram that wires must be taped off, so how can i solve this puzzle?

There is no standard in pickup colors. There are conversion charts in the schematic collection, but i wound not mess with that. Just solder solder the black SD wire to the hot and the green/bare to the ground while the red/white connected and taped off. If that sounds thin and weird together with the old pickups, the connect the black/bare to ground and the green with hot. That will work.

Wire colors are NOT standard across companies, and the result is usually lots of mis-wired guitars. It would seem silly that these colors aren't universal, but hey, its too late now.

Yep, the tabs with circles are input and output (and ground on volume)..

i've done it and it sounds THE SAME than the jackson stock pickup....

this can't be, it is supposed to sound better, i've soldered the green wire to the hot and the bare and black wire to the ground, maybe it is because of this and the black one must go to the hot?

Well, it's easy enough to switch the black and green.
Try it and hear how it sounds.
Especially since that was the suggestion in the first place. I think that you accidentally reversed it when you attached the green to hot.

Also, make sure the pickup is working as expected by tapping on the poles with a screwdriver while plugged in and the volume is low.
