Problem - sizzling metallic sound with Western

Hi guys!

Yesterday I wanted to record some stuff with my Martin DX1R - plugged it in to the Tascam US144 as always and played a bit.

But it wasn't the nice sound as always, it was just sizzling, metallic and distorted...

I have a Fishman Natural II Piezo system in it - maybe just the battery? Currently I don't have nine-volt batteries at home, I will buy some and try it.

But maybe it's something other - I hope you can help me.

Sorry I can't help. I have the Tascam US 144 Mk II but have no experience with recording electric/acoustic guitar.

Do you have a mic so you could record the guitar acoustically through the same channel?

Did you try a fresh battery ?

Are your input levels overloading to the max.?

I just changed the battery and - the same ****. I'll try the other input now and will take a few cables out of our rehearsal room.
