Problem with Guitar Wiring... major radio signals???

Hey guys, I'm wiring up my Dean with some major problems. :smack: I've followed the setup EXACTLY like this diagram shows: http://guitarelectronics.zoovy.com/product/WDUHH3T1101.

Whenever I try to plug it in and play I get this high pitched noise and when I tweak the volume knob I pickup loud radio transmissions. There is no sound at all from my pickups, just people talking.

This is VERY frustrating. I have retraced my steps and looked over the diagram a million times and it just isn't working... can anyone help me?

I dont know about the squeeling, sounds like it may be your amp. As for the radio, you either move the amp and stuff, or play inside a cage of chicken wire (I'm serious)

Thanks for the quick replies guys :)

I never had problems with the pickups when it was in my Epiphone, so something is very fishy here. My Gibson Les Paul Standard sounds great through my Triamp, so the amp can't be picking up the radio frequencies.

I guess I should recheck my grounds, I was thinking about that... thanks JohnJohn.

Not sure what connector wire I'm using (that could be a problem?...lol). I'm using the same wires that came on the Dean in the first place. The solder I was using before was very hard to heat up (had to use all 45w on my soldering iron to get it to melt). Could that be a problem?

Even better, I'll try and get some pics up (of course, that will open me to ridicule because my soldering skills are very poor :D ).

I can't make it out. It's japanese people screaming at me :D (the sad thing is, i'm not kidding)

Ok... I rewired the guitar doing a really clean job (used much better solder this time around). Still the same problem, I guess I'm just gonna have to pay someone to take care of it for me because I give up :(

Re: Problem with Guitar Wiring... major radio signals???

Forget what I said before, I think I know what the problem is.

I have an output jack with two lugs on it. I have a bare wire and a grey wire... what connects to what? I looked at my Gibson Les Paul's output and there is one big bare wire that goes to one lug and is soldered to the side of the other lug. When I changed from one lug to the other with soldering the bare and grey wires, the voices stopped (yay! :laugh2: ). I am confident that after this, my guitar's wiring will finally be complete.

Can anyone help me with the output jack?
