Problem with my tube screamer

My TS9DX has been dying on me lately. Out of nowhere the signal just cuts, and if I keep nudging it with my foot it crackles loudly and eventually, the signal returns... but then sooner or later it would cut off again.

Sometimes it cuts off comepletely. Sometimes the volume drops slightly.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it something i can fix myself?

Thanks guys.

Check your connections at the jacks and board....If you're just using a battery, also check your connections at both sides of the battery leads...Check for a bad switch also? When you test and do these checks have the pedal plugged in as if you were using it and start tugging all around at all the wires and see if you can locate a loose wire or bad connection. If you send it to me,more than likely I can fix it and tweak it out if you like also?

Sounds like you have a loose connection on one of your jacks or it could be that your cable has a break on it.

Thanks guys. Yeah I figured its a loose connection... but its just so fiddly that I can't even figure out where. I took it apart and tried lightly tugging on each wire but it almost seemed to crackle nomatter which one i pulled.

Haha, I guess I've just gotta bring it down to the store.

Stratdeluxer, thanks for your offer but i'm not in the states, so it makes it a bit hard.
