Problems with right hand at faster speeds

I am trying to do a cover of One by Metallica, and in the last part when the guitars are driven rhythm pretty fast (if that's even considered fast.. ) my right hand starts to hurt. At full speed i am skipping some notes, but at 5 bpms slower i can somehow full all the notes, but i am on the edge of fysichal ability - my right hand basicaly at the end feels like stone, i need to rest 5 minutes, than i continue. i have all parts in my head but the right hand is somehow killing me from achieving that last part. Should i continue, i am already building a speed of that particular song about a month now, and i achieved somewhere 7 bms faster speed from then. i am working on this cover about 1 and a half hour per day. Today it happens that my hand started to hurt on slower speeds than 2 days ago, so i am a bit frustrated to be honest..

As with any form of exercise, strength and stamina only develope with repetition over time. If it starts hurting too much, back off a bit. Increase gradually as you see fit.

Yeah, i don't really know if this is bad playing condition, or is the problem that i don't keep my hands enough relaxed.. I'll give it 3 or maximum 4 weeks more time, than i'll probably stop if there will be no positive results. I don't know what is better, playing easier stuff, so i can nail it totaly in short amount of time, or pushing myself through the limits. Actually i have a wish to learn more difficult stuff, like Death, Megadeth etc. All my favorite songs i cannot play yet at full tempos. Not to mention the solos, i cannot play most of them, but i am good at improvisation. I had wrong lesson methods lots of years, that's why i did not progress enough, but i am getting into it now.

A video of your right hand will help.

With that said, if it's hurting back off a bit and re-evaluate. Also make sure to stretch a bit before playing and warm up.
