I'm starting to get to the final stages of spraying. Here are some shots. I'm debating whether to clear coat the Olympic white, because I'm not sure if I want to see it yellow or not over the years. I know its perfectly safe not to clear coat it and I can get it to shine with plenty of polishing.

Look'in Good there DB. Still gonna report me for defacing US currency ?:laugh2: (i.e.)The penny trick

I like it! Love the birdseye on the neck. I normally don't like yellowed necks, but I think it looks pretty cool with the white body.

Haha, only if it doesn't work ;)

Will the penny get the dye off too? I sprayed the dye before the clear and it looks like I have brass frets now lol.

It should take the dye right off. If not? Just fold up a Hundred Dollar Bill,Dip it in some rubbing compound and buff your frets.:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Haha, I'll do that once I do the coin trick on my uncles uncirculated half dollar collection.

As far as hardware: Sperzel staggered locking tuners, black bakelight pickguard, probably either bone or graphite nut, I have a fender 3 saddle bridge that has been modded. Pickups I have opted for some Lollar T-Specials, I'm gonna wire them up with 300k pots and a 4 way switch so I can through them in series.

To me, the "yellowing" of a finish just adds character to the instrument. It shows that it's been around for awhile.
