just wanted to give STRATSANDAKS his due credit. he permanently fixed my t.o.m. bridge to my hollowbody. he did a hell of a job. it looks factory, and now the guitar is intonated.

i just want everyone here to know he is a cool guy

I never understood floating bridges. What is the purpose of that, except for historical accuracy, and for bridges with preset wood saddles? Horrible!

Did you just put a few spots of woodglue under the wooden saddle, and use the T.O.M
saddles on top?

Tenniso and I spent a couple of hours sliding the bridge around on the top of his guitar until we both decided on the final position and then marked it.

I turned two very small dowels on a metal lathe. Then drilled two blind holes in the rosewood bridge underneath of the T.O.M. I used 6-32 screw transfers to mark the hole locations on the top. Drilled and reamed the top/bridge for the dowels. Then glued the dowels into the bridge only. So the only permanent modification is the two holes in the top, if Tenniso ever radically changes string guages and needs to move the bridge he only needs to trim the two dowels, relocate the holes and install two new ones.

I'm sure this isn't how it is supposed to be done, but it worked.

it worked a miracle. now i gotta re-slot the nut, and get some duncans. and learn how to play of course!
