Proud of Gibson- They "done gone & done sumpin' real cool!" B Bender Les Paul Junior

I saw the article in the latest Premier Guitar Magazine about Gibson and Nashville "luthier to the stars", Joe Glaser, teaming up to create something I think is spectacular. They [Gibson] have created a Les Paul Junior with a Glaser B Bender in it. It will be a limited run and sell for $1499 which for a special Gibson such as this is fair, IMHO.

Too bad they had to put a Fender bridge and what appears to be a Telecaster pickguard on it. LOL

Holy crap! I'm not too interested in the guitar, but that is the most beautiful case I've ever seen! :O
I wonder if it's possible to get just the case somehow...

I wonder if it will have a TeleGib-ish sound. It should with those specs, especially because of few varied similarities between the LP and Telecaster (such as the sing cutaway).

Next we should have a bolt-on singlecut with a mahogany back, carved alder top, 25.5" scale, three mini-hums and a Les-trem.

I wouldn't call it 100% original...it is clearly part LP Jr and part Tele and the bridge is the same as the Nighthawk...

I posted a thread about this months ago but got no interest.

I dig the idea hate it's looks...

I thought the case was amazing as well.

I wonder if it will have a TeleGib-ish sound. It should with those specs, especially because of few varied similarities between the LP and Telecaster (such as the sing cutaway).

Won't sound nuttin like a Tele gib. Sorry, all kinds of missing Tele-Gib parts here. Wrong pickups, wrong neck joint, wrong scale length etc, etc, etc.

Sorry, I meant the B Bender in/under the bridge is completely original. It is NOT the same bender mechanism he uses in his Teles that he makes in his shop. That's what I was getting at.

I really dig the look!!

Well I didn't mean Seymour's TeleGib. More like a GibTele if that makes sense. Just a hybrid of a LP and Tele.
