PRS 305, their version of the strat

Re: PRS 305, their version of the strat

If I were to get something with a strat-like layout, one of the last 2 would probably be it. Or a charvel.

Anyone really put these pickups through their paces? PRS pickups have mostly been pretty sub-par and I'm concerned whether or not the stock design is good enough to be a keeper (especially since the route looks to be unique on them).

It appears to be a bolt on design that's glued in.

That was my first thought, "How did they hide the screws?" It's a set neck masquerading as a bolt on...or something.

The black pickguard model with the NF3s definitely caught my eye. I'd like to take one for a test drive.

Wow! How old is this thread? It would seem that I acquired both my 513 and NF3 after it last went silent. Both are excellent guitars, though the NF3 does get rather more air time.
