Re: PRS- Indonesia
Admittedly, when I was looking at SE's back around the holidays, I came across notably more negative reviews for the models that had switched to Indonesian production. That was my sole reason for holding off on purchasing a new one, but that reasoning may not have been entirely warranted.
Similar to JB_From_Hell's experience, I have an early 2000's Ibanez RG7321 from Indonesia that rivals anything Korean and maybe even Japanese from that period from a build quality standpoint. Perfect balance, great fit and finish, immaculate fretwork, beautiful wood, etc. The only apparent cost saving was in the hardware and pickups, but the guitar itself simply couldn't be a better platform to start from.
In reality, I bet 99% of players could never tell an Indonesian-made from a Korean-made SE model. I just wonder where production will move to next as manufacturers seek ever less expensive labor and materials?
