PRS SE soapbar II... thoughts!!!

Well... tried one of these at guitar center... at about 400 bucks, I'm sold! Nice neck, beautiful tone, solid feel... I think P90s are what I've been looking for sonically, growly and defined with plenty of punch. (I did notice a lot more single coil hum than I expected...) The only other "complaint" is that the neck joint is a bit shocking... (though necessary for the tone from things I've read;)

They've also got a 70s gibson "The Paul II" that I tried and was nice... like a normal Les paul but thinner and with a belly cutaway... but the pickups seemed to fall short, though I've heard complaints about PRS P90s as being bassy, they seemed fine to me.

Well, I've already made up my mind I'm selling my Line6 amp and a Cort bass I have to make a bit of money. Amazing when you consider 2 years ago I swore I would never buy a PRS product because of the image

well, anyone got 2 cents or so?

i tried both the soap i and ii. and imo the singlecut soapbar se sounds fuller. if you can find one either new or used, go for it. both the soap i and ii are really nice guitars for the buck.

if you dig p90s, maybe you can consider the ibanez sz320mh. has everything the soap ii has and maybe more. just swop the pups for phatcats and you are set.
