PRS SE Standard 24-08 pickups and circuit

I've just tried in a shop a PRS SE Standard 24-08

I've never given PRD much credit , but I think this was a mistake, It's a beautiful guitar, the only thing I didn't like was the frets edge, a bit too much sharp for a guitar of this price, anyway, I'm interested in the pickup and in the mini switches mounted.

does anybody knows what kind of pup it mounts, impedance, magnet?

the two switches don't sound like split coil switches, it seems like a bass cut, is it a circuit like the one mounted on old revstars?

I'd like to try it on mine

they are coil splits

from the page linked above

The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar: the iconic guitar that started it all back in 1985. The Custom 24-08 keeps all the foundational specs of the instrument, while taking the Custom platform to new sonic territories. Like the Core Series instrument, the SE Custom 24-08 features two mini-toggle coil-split switches that individually split the humbuckers into true single coils for a total of eight pickup configurations. Classic design elements include a maple top, mahogany back, rosewood fretboard, 24 frets, 25” scale length, bird inlays, signature headstock logo, and PRS patented molded tremolo.

PRS adds a resistor that makes it a partial coil split, which I think may be called "coil tap." Basically instead of just splitting to 1 coil, it adds in a little bit of the 2nd coil. This gives it an output that's much closer to single coil output than what a typicall coil split would be. It's a very nice tone, and for $2 you can add it to any HB guitar.

I heard that somewhere but could not document it so I did not include it in my post
do you have a source document for that?

Like this: (PMme your email addy, and I can mail you the PDF. But it looks just like that.)

Thank you artie

So this mod
puts a 1.1k resistor between ground and the neck split coil

And a 2.2k between the bridge and ground

And is that a cap between the volume and the push pull?

To allow highs? Like a treble bleed?

The push-pull is the tone control. So the cap is just the "normal" tone control cap.

Note lower-left in that diagram. Push-pull tone pot.

Take note of one "oddity" in that diagram. The red line from the switch, goes to the "bottom" lug on the volume pot. The black line from the "upper" lug of the volume pot, goes to the ground tab on the switch. That drawing makes it look like they go to the same place.

See if this is a little more clear.
