PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

Re: PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

If it were the red or yellow, it'd be mighty tempting, but it had to be their hardest one to get rid of. Probably a blessing in disguise, because I need an EVH product like Eddie needs a surfboard.

Re: PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

If you're looking for a 1-hum, Floyded, D-Tuna'd, Charvel import with an actual EVH pickup, that's a decent price. I think the MIM Charvel 1-hum ProMod is $700.

I've got the Star from the Striped series, and despite the "vintage correct" Dano head, it's not a bad axe by any stretch.

Re: PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

I have the red one, and I think it's great.

Re: PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

frets any more durable then the fender american strats? I and others find the strats material kinda soft

Re: PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

Hmm, not quite sure what to make of it...borderline really like it and borderline don't. lol I do like the color combos (the circles are throwing me off) and the Fender headstock.

All stripes, cool. All circles, cool. Together? No, thanks.

The directional arrow around the volume knob is beyond stupid either way.

It looks like one of the stickers that Fender puts on a new guitar to explain how the controls work.

Well, it tripped Ed's trigger... Not mine really, cept its a pretty good price.

Yeah, I really like the star, but NOT the Dano headstock..

Re: PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

Actually the Floyd on the EVH Striped is very good. Its the FR1000 version. Made in
Korea, not Germany, but machined to original 80s specs. A very solid unit!

Re: PSA: EVH Circles guitar..

I played a couple of the newer striped series strats and I gotta say, for a cheapo its hard to find a better value. The neck was comfortable, the Floyd was reasonable, the tone was good, and it was inexpensive. I played an earlier model a few years back and that one just felt like a cool paint job with strings. These later models feel like great jamin guitars. The quality has really gone up on this model from past years
