The new V.2 (aka: second wave) versions of Kali's 6.5" and 8" LP monitors are currently on sale through the end of the month at various dealers. The price-to-value ratio on these is absolutely through the roof!

Easily the best monitors of this type under $500, maybe $1000, depending on your space/feature needs. Definitely a step up from any of the KRK Rokit models and even the first version of the same speakers (these V.2 models eliminate the subtle noise issue the V.1 had and further improve the sound with new woofers, less distortion, etc).

Totally flat response (industry leading at this price point, really), and absolutely killer for nearfield monitoring and mixing in smaller spaces, including the typical home studio/bedroom/office scenario most of us find ourselves in.

FYI...I had the white version of the LP-6 V.2 sold by Pitbull Audio in my Reverb watchlist and they sent me a private offer through Reverb of just $143 per speaker! That's $286/set!

I just about fell out of my chair! If I hadn't just dropped $350 on the pair, which was already a friggin' great deal considering how new the V.2 are, I would've jumped on that for sure.

There's nothing better for the price, guaranteed

Any idea how they compare to the Presonus Eris E8?

I don't have any first hand experience, but the Kali models seem to dominate at their respective price points and then some.

Just a quick Google search yields plenty of discussions that include the Presonus Eris E8. Most are about the V.1 Kalis, not these further improved V.2 versions, which have an even flatter curve, less distortion and no operational hiss at all.
