i recently bought a ESP LTD EC-401VF and it came with duncans and i was wondering if the covers were removeable?

Sure, but not without some effort. They're going to soldered on. To get mine off I used a dremel to cut through the solder. Then I had to take a tiny screw driver to carefully pry up the pickup base plate away from the cover. You could probably unsolder them too, but for me I think that could be a little trickier, but I don't know.

I didn't realise covers were actually soldered on.
Sounds like it might be easier just to sell them on ebay or whatever and just buy ones without covers.
