Pup for Strat XII

Hi everyone. I've got a Japanese Fender Strat XII with fairly thin sounding pups. They sound fine when clean, but they're not hot enough to drive the amp hard. What I'm looking for is a replacement single-coil for the bridge position that can really push the amp, but is also warm sounding (certainly not 'fizzy'). Any suggestions? I don't really want a humbucker as I want to retain the single-coil sound when clean, but I don't mind it emulating a HB to some extent when overdriven.

Thanks.

Re: Pup for Strat XII

I hate those overwound hot bridge Antiquities, sorry.

My idea of a single coil with more kick is the Quarter Pounder. Instead of just overwound coil you get thicker magnets to thicken up the sound. I like that a lot better (tried both). The QP is less noisy, too.
