'Pup' swap on a `67 Flying V reissue

Hi! I need alot of help here! I want to replace the stock bridge 'pup' on my `99 Gibson '67 Flying V' reissue. I`ve never removed and then installed a pickup before but i`m ready to try to 'get it done'!

So any help you can give to me will be greatly appreciated by me and my guitar!

My first question is: I`m pretty sure that I have to remove the pickguard, control knobs, input jack, bridge, tail piece etc to get started--is this correct?

Here`s a link to a picture of the guitar:

Oh and i need to mention that I`m removing the stock '500T' bridge 'pup' and replacing it w/ the SD '59 Model' as i prefer more of a vintage PAF tone.

So thanks very much for any help you can offer to me and i`m sure that i`ll have many more questions as I 'trudge' along with this task of replacing a pickup for the first time!

You don't need to remove pickups, pots, knobs or jack since they're all mounted to the pickguard. Just remove the pickguard and replace the pickup. Changing pickups is a fairly simple and routine procedure, but in that "V" the process is ridiculously easy since everything is mounted to the pickguard. Rather than describe the process in detail via forum post, I've posted a link to the video clips on the Duncan site showing the process.

Good luck! Any questions? -- just ask.
