Pup wiring...

I want to use JP wiring for the Suhr SSV/SSH+ in my Les Paul...
I've got a diagram but there is a problem...(https://forum.seymourduncan.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7745&d=1190231217)
I asked John Suhr but i talked to somebody else about the same thing and he said something pretty opposite...
Here is the question:
"This diagram is the thing i want...But it splits to inner neck outer bridge...
Can you tell me how to change this to outer neck inner bridge???"
He said:
"Swap the black and green connections from the pickups. The bridge pickup connects to the phase switch, so switch the green for black. The neck green will now connect to the neck volume pot and the neck black will connect to the series/parallel switch."
And John said:
"to reverse which coil is split this is what you do
Instead of green ground you use White as ground
Instead of Black as Hot use red as hot
and Black and Green together instead of Red and white together
Shield to ground "
Which one is correct???
Im confused...
Help please...
Thanks...

Re: Pup wiring...

Thanks hermetico...
But the last thing you said made me feel suspicious about your advice...
What do you guys think???
Which one is correct???
Now there are 3 options:crying:

Re: Pup wiring...

Thanks again hermetico...
The reason im asking this to you is because John doesnt answer me for some reason...
I guess i will try johns way and see what happens...

This is just wrong. This will reverse the phase of the pickup. (You already have a switch to do that.)

This "sorta" works, but its an unnecessarily complex way to do it.

Hermetico is on the right track. I never really noticed before, but pulling the bridge tone pot, (phase), also changes the coil that's being split.

Here's my "official" solution to both problems:

Now, the coil you split to becomes "absolute" regardless of the position of any other switch. Make sense?

P.S. Note thats there's two versions of this drawing. One uses the "outside" lug of the volume pot for input and one uses the middle lug. If you use the middle lug, the neck blue arrow should point to the middle volume lug.

Or, to put it simply: connect the lug at the red arrow directly to wherever the green wire goes for the stud coil, or the black wire for the screw coil.
