Push-pull pot ideas, please contribute

I'm currently overgoing a huge rewiring operation, and my loyal Squier is the only one needing to be finished.

I'm going for the h/h 2vol 1tone wiring: http://www.seymourduncan.com/website/support/schematics/2hum_2vol_tone_5way-w-spl.html

But I have an extra push-pull pot unused. Has anyone got any cool ideas for using it? And will my idea of using it to switch between two different caps work? Just that I can have 2 different tonal ranges out of it? Any ideas how to wire that up?

Re: Push-pull pot ideas, please contribute

The obvious choice (IMO) would be coil-split. The "different caps" idea may sound interesting, but I don't believe it will be that useful. A better use for the push-pull-pot could be switching between serial and parallel or inner and outer coils.
Do a search for push-pull and you will probably find some threads where ArtieToo posted some wiring schematics for that stuff.

+1

Maybe I should have done something similar with mine...

<-----------

1 vol, 2 tone. Pulling each pot splits a coil on one of the pups.

Thanks, guys.. I'm quite happy with the coil split options I have with the 5-way switch.. I'd like something completely different with the push-pull pot.. Like maybe switching between the caps.. Well, U'll see it there are any other ideas..

internal series / parallel switching in a double coil gives very very cool variety (push = series / pull = parallel) ... i have it on my semihollow w/ the bill lawrence pups, and cant imagine not having it

worth wiring up to see if you like what it does for ya

cheers
