push/push pot wiring

Hi all,

I've got some push/push DPDT pots from guitarjonesusa.com. As I sit and look at them, there are six soldering lugs on the 'switch' part of the pot - anyone have any idea what these lugs relate to for soldering? I'm intending to use one of the push/push pots for switiching between series and parallel wiring for a hot rails.

Thanks!

Thanks guys. I'm going to have fun soldering this lot - I'm putting two push/push pots into a strat...one for series/parallel switching of the hot rails I have at the bridge, one for allowing me to turn the neck pickup on so that I can have bridge & neck together, or bridge/middle and neck all on. This is with a master volume, master tone and a master EMG-SPC, which will mean some routing to get the battery in :yell:

Just to get it straight with the pot for series/parallel switching, is that series = down parallel = up, or the other way round?

You might be able to wedge the battery in between the volume and middle tone control. I ran into this same problem just the other day while wiring up my Strat project. The middle tone is replaced by a pot with a circuit board attached, and the other two are push/pull pots. Because of the added length from the push/pulls, I couldn't mount the battery in the bottom of the control routing like the instructions recommended. Instead, I glued the battery clip to the underside of the pickguard and installed the battery there. There's not much room to spare, but it does fit just fine when installed like this.
