Put hotrail but I am missing attack

Hello everyone . I just put the hotrail in the bridge of my strat . I like the voicing and the output of the pup but I am missing that fast response in the right hand when I am riffing in the e low string . It is a fender Mexico strat , and the amp is a Marshall jvm ... All other parts of the guitar are stock . Any suggestions ?

Re: Put hotrail but I am missing attack

This is going to sound crazy, but I actually preferred the Hot Rails with a 1M ohm volume and 1M ohm tones (with the bridge pickup and mid pickup sharing a tone control) in my strat. Neck and mid pups were both cool rails. If you are using single coils in the neck and mid, this is definitely not the solution... But in my case, it worked really well. It sounded really tight and aggressive that way. Amp was an Orange Tiny Terror, just to factor that in as well.

Definitely try higher pot values and maybe have the bridge wired with no control whatsoever. Even a tone control all the way "up" still is adding some tonal change to your signal.

For a test, skip all pots. Connect the bridge pickup to the cable with a couple crocodile clips.

i like the hot rail with 500k volume and no tone best. i adjust the height till the volume and tone are right and it works for me
