Replaced the stock pickups in my neon green M-50FR with a set of chrome covered Duncan Distortion Trembucker/DiMarzio Liquifire pickups. Also put in a treble bleed kit. Huge improvement in tone and clarity. So far very happy!

Kinda hard to miss this green guitar. Lol!! I have two of the matching neon orange M-50FR guitars also. Very fun to mod and play them.

Back in the late 80's when I decided to become an electric guitarist it was a pair of neon (one orange and one green) Ibanez hanging in the window at the Conservatory Of Music store that pushed me into action,,,,,,but I could only afford a cheap black Memphis lol. Upgraded to a white/gold LP studio after a few months though.

Well these aren't expensive guitars, but they're made well and easy enough to mod with better pickups.

Absolutely. I've seen many pros using LTDs for the stage.
Those neon Ibbys from the late 80s were like $699 new iirc, s-series I think. They might as well have been $10,000 for me at the time.

Can see that being a REALLY cool set up. I had a Sentient paired with an Alt 8 for a while and really liked that combo. The Liqufire is pretty similar to the Sentient a little darker and more compressed but is a really cool neck pickup. Have a Liquifire so know them well and like the DD overall a lot better than the Crunch lab so interested in you take having a set with both a Liquifire and the CrunchLab and now the DD also.

Wow that looks a lot like the Iby Mutt I just picked up at a local Pawn shop!

So far I really like the combo. The DD with the cover is a little warmer sounding than the DD I have in my neon orange M-50FR without a cover. Still plenty aggressive, but a little warmer. Really nice and seems to work well with the Liquifire. I also like the Crunch Lab but it seems a bit smoother than the DD and it seems that the mids in the Crunch Lab are focused a little lower than the DD, but that could just be me.
