Hey i have this really junky Peavey Rockmaster and i want to fix it up so its my main stage guitar so i can jump around and not care that much about breaking it as it is really really light. But in order to play it live i have to be able to get sound out of it :lmao: so i want to put a ducan jb in it and replace all the wires and put coil tap in it with a push pull pot 500k on the volume and then replace the junky tone knob too. it only has one humbucker 1 vol and 1 tone. i just need to know what i need to buy to get it working

Hi,

You need the pickup, a push pull volume pot, a standard tone pot, a jack, a capacitor, and some wires. You can get the wires at your local electronics store. The consensus on the forums is that 24 or 22 gauge wire is the way to go.

Try your local independent music store, and if that doesn't work, try www.guitarelectronics.com.

i know i found that much... i just need to know what wires and pots to buy

I gotcha.

For your pots, I recommend CTS over Alpha, but both are fine. Go for audio taper as opposed to linear taper - gives you a more usable sweep from low to high.

Here is a link to the pots: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Potentiometers/CTS_Control_Pots.html --- go for item # 0116 for your standard pot, then go here ( http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Potentiometers/Push-pull_Pots.html ) and get item # 1216 for your push pull.

For wire, try this: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electro..._cables/Non-shielded_Guitar_Circuit_Wire.html

It will be cheap except for the pickup. I would take it to someone to have it put in if it is your first time. Ask to watch what he does.
