Putting together new(old) guitar.

prosthetics

New member
I recently found a badass jackson at my local thrift store for $15. Its in great condition(i guess) other than the hard ware (mostly wires) being dissasembled.

It seems like everything is in workin order, i just need to put it back. could anyone suggest a website or anything that would have info on guitar electronics assembly or anything that would point me in the right direction?

thanks! :smoker:

Re: Putting together new(old) guitar.

Welcome to the forum. Since we don't know exactly what model your Jackson is. It's difficult to give you any advice. You may want to find out what model it is and then do some research on the web to see aif there is any wiring diagram for it. If not, then may be you can look at the wiring diagrams of some other similar guitars and try to figure out what to do. It may also help if you know what kind of pickup you have in you guitar. If you still need help, take a picture of the area that you need help and post it, so that we may be able to figure it out for you. Good luck.

Re: Putting together new(old) guitar.

if it´s a late 80´s with active electronics, the manual can be found over on the Jackson/Charvel Forum, www.jcfonline.com

For any other electronics setup asking here in the pickup lounge (or looking at the Schematics on the SD site) will probably get you the answers you´re looking for faster and just as good as anywhere else ;)

PIIIIICS... Jacksons have to be SHOWN, not just talked about :headbang:

Warmoth and jackson aren't compatible. Necks won't intonate. Heel width is also wrong.

Disagree I must, young Padawan...

Intonate correctly they will, unless 24 fret they are

USA Width correct is, imports to the dark side lead.

You may proceed...
