Welcome to the Forums!
1) Screw down the pickup so it'S further away from the strings
2) You could get Tone/Volume pots with higher Values
3) If it still doesn't work, you could use the SD return policy and get another pup instead of it... SSL-5 or 6 seem to fit your needs. (also high output, but brighter)
