I saw someone that has one for sale and claims it has the SD logo on it. I was under the impression that none of the '59s have the logo. Am I incorrect?

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

I think that the trembucker version does have the logo, though my neck version doesn't. Ask him what it came out of. Some manufacturers that use Duncans stock sometimes specify that the pickups they get have the SD logo.

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

You can specifically order the 59' or the APH with logo's from SD. There is no upcharge at all. If I order either the 59' or APH, I always request the logo.

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

i have 2 59s (soon to be 3). one is black and has no logo, the other is white and does have a logo. they are both for the neck position. I'm guessing it's from what jeff said.

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

My 59 neck, black: no logo
59 black trembucker: logo
59 neck zebra: no logo

;)

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

The Duncan '59, being a pretty accurate reproduction of a '59 or '60 Gibson paf, has no logo because the original had no logo. The '59 Trembucker, being a Seymour Duncan creation and not being a reproduction of anything Gibson made in the 50's, always has the SD logo...just like pretty much every other humbucker that SD makes that is an original design gets the logo: Custom, CC, C5, AII Pro, etc. Even the PG, which is based on the paf's in Billy Gibbons guitar, has the logo. But not the '59...only the '59TB gets the logo.

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

I think it all depends on whether or not you ask them for a logo... or maybe if they decide to send you one with a logo or not.

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

Thanks for the info guys!

Re: Question about '59 Humbucker

You can ask for a logo. I have a 4 conductor zebra set of 59s here at the house.
