question about my pearly gates split

this is not a complaint it is just something I am curious about. I had the tech split my pg set that I had put on a les paulish guitar (malden karma les paul body but thinner). anyway I like the bridge split. the thing that surprises me is that the output at least to my ears is louder then my single coil bridge on my mia tele and bout equal in output to my mim strat....but shouldn't the pg since it is not a high output pickups sound considerably lower in single coil mode then the stock fenders that I mentioned? if the dc resistance on the bridge is 8.3 (which I don't totally understand but I assume equates with "loudness") and then that is split...shouldn't it sound less loud them again the "regular" single coils on my fenders?

Mayhap the frequencies in which your guitar's body resonates give the PG the ability to push your amp harder than your singles.
