Question about P90 install

Hi all

apologies if this is commonly know but could no find this online or in forum.
never installed a P90 before and was not sure if it was directional. As in if a specific side was intended to be under high or low e string.

When looking at the guitar body from the bridge upwards the seymour duncan lettering should be the correct way up.
If it is upside down, when both pickups are on they will be out of phase.
No idea about the exact string issues though.

I thought polarity had to be reversed for oop. Would really appreciate theory behind this thinking...Am I missing something?

Thanks for the info!
does that apply if SD writing is only on the bottom of pickup?
for example if i have the pickup upside down have the writing face the right way and flip over (like pic below)

magnetic or electric polarity has nothing to do with the orientation of the pup. for a p90, there will be no difference. either way is fine and will sound the same
