Question about pot-values in a Strat.

Hi to all!
I am placing some pups in a friends guitar and would like to hear your opinions on the pot values.
It's a 62 Reissue Strat and there s going to be a DiMarzio HS-2 in the neck spot, a Texas Special in the mid spot and a DiMarzio Virtual Heavy Blues in the bridge spot.
The tone knob ll be a push-pull to split the HS-2 to single coil mode. I know the VV Heavy Blues works best with 500K pots, but i guess for the other two 250K would be the best. Should i put a 500K as volume and two 250K's as tone? Or volume and one tone 500K and one tone 250K?
What would you guys suggest?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Re: Question about pot-values in a Strat.

I've always rewired my strats so that you had one tone for the bridge then the other controlled the tone on the neck and middle. In this case I think I would go for a 500k volume pot and 500k tone pot for the bridge and a 250k for the neck and middle.

The question of whether or not to use a 250k or 500k pot, is really only relevant to the volume control, at least as far as affecting the character of the pup is concerned.

If you use a 250k tone pot, its exactly the same as using a 500k pot thats turned down to "5". I believe thats the way Strats are wired normally. But just so you understand, if you use a 500k tone pot, you have that extra "dial" from 5 to 10. ;)
